Youth Chess League of Central Oklahoma provides free chess programs for students at Title I schools and at after-school programs that serve underprivileged children. We established three programs in the fall of 2015, and we plan to keep growing until every central Oklahoma kid has a chance to enjoy the benefits of this wonderful game.
No chess club at your child’s school? We can help. Our tuition-based chess programs help fund our mission. Cost is $60 per student (based on 20 students) for a 16-week program with a professional instructor. Contact us to learn how we can bring chess to your child’s school, church, or homeschool community.
Visit our About Us page to learn how chess builds character and helps kids thrive. On Chess and Academics and Chess on the Brain, you’ll find further information and links to studies on the cognitive, academic, and social benefits chess offers kids. If you have questions or would like to get involved, we’d be very happy to hear from you.
